tain Waddell, of thc Shenandoah, states
that the first information he received of
the closing of the war, was on the 30th of
August.
The London Star states that if the
American Government should claim the
Shenandoah, there should be no reason
for refusing the request.
Earl Bussell has been appointed Premier,
and Lord Clarendon Minister of Foreign
Affairs.
