M.-A [gentleman just arrived iif this city ?from Santa Fe, New Mexico, reports [that Juarez, the leader of the Liberals of Mexico against Maximilian and ?his supporters, had reached that place en route for the United States. Doubts are entertained of the truth of the report, as no reason for such an extraordinary step is known to exist. The loss of. the cause he represents and the complete success of the French policy alone would warrant his abandonment of the held. Episcopal General Convention. ' PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 6.-This morn? ing two deputies from the diocese of Tennessee were present at the session of the General Episcopal Convention, but owing to the absence of the Secre? tary from their State, were unable to present their certificate. It was moved and carried, however, that the names of the Tennessee deputies be i placed on the roll. 9 P. M.-Lu the Episcopal Conven? tion, this afternoonj the Rev.
