All the Ead ?cal poll tichum In Ute city were

ndlcatlona ara that Mr. WlJJlman. ls elected
derk of court, and that Mr. a. I. Cunningham

the ticket ls badly ontop, and lt cannot be
certainly known what candidates for the Leg?

come in from the parishes.

HELP THE TORPID ORGANS.-When the body
ls In a state of health, the food taken Into the
stomach acts on the bowels as a stimulant,
causing in them that worm-like motion by
wblch their contents are expelled. The liver
being in a natural condition, the flow of bile
(which is a mild cathartic) into the Intestines
ls ample and regular, and hence the dis?
charges are easy and sufficiently frequent.
The reverse of all this constitutes costiveness,
and the only true method ol enre Is to restore
the functional activity ol the two Important
organs which use the bowels as a sewer for
the egress of waste matter. For thia purpose
Hosteller's Stomach Bitterscan be confidently
recommended as the most effective of all
medicines. It ls not too much to Bay that
chronic constipation would be unknown lithe
Bitters were in universal use as a remedy in
the earlier stages of the complaint At this
period of the year, when dyspepsia with all its
kindred disorders are so apt to be engendered
and aggravated by the dampness of the at?
mosphere, this unequal stimulant, tonic and
alterative should be taken daily.

ALF. LABARRAQUE AND Co
QUINIUM LABARRAQUE
Approved by thc Imperial Academy
of Medicine
The Quiniam Labarraqae is an eminently
tonic and febrifuge Wine, destined to replace
all the other preparations pf Peruvian Bark
The Bark Wines usually Employed inme
dicine arc prepared from Barks which vary
considerably in the degre? to which they
possess the desired prop?rties. Beiides,
owing to the manner in which they are pre?
pared, these Wines contain scarcely more
tlian thc traces of active principles, and
these always in variable proportions.
The Quininm Labarraqne, approved by
the Academy of Medicine, constitutes, on the
contrary, a m?decine of determined compo?
sition, rich in active principles, and on wich
Physicians and Patients can always rely.
Tile Quininm Labarraqae is prescribed
with great success for persons of weak con
lilution, or for those debilitated by various
exhausting causes or past sickness ; for youlhs
fatigued by too rapid growth; for young
girls whose development takes place with
difficulty; for women in childbirth; and for
aged persons enfeebled by years or illness.
It is the best preservative against Fevers.
In cases of Chlorosis, Anemia, orGreensik
ncss, this Wine is a powerful auxiliary of
Hie ferruginous preparations. In conjunction,
tor example, with VAULT'S Pitts, the rapidi?
ty ol its action is really marvellous,
