The Dally Bulletin says: A more dull and
stupid ma ket could scarcely be Imagined than
the one now under review lor say a week or ten
days past, and a stereotyped report or the posi?
tion has been given by dealers daliy. The whole
difficulty 1B claimed to arise from the uncertainty
as io what will be done with the tariff, and the
trade generally complatn loudly of the delay in
the settlement of the question.. A few country
dealers are obliged to secure small lots to make
good an entirely depleted stock, but they buy no
more than ls absolutely needed, and this move?
ment embraces about all the business doing, AB
to values, they are, of course, still nominal, and
quotations almost uselesB. On duty-paid goods
some concessions have been made since
the dullness set in, but nothing of an
important character, and though bids are
considerably 1 educed, we do not trunk a
pound of desirable cofTee in haod could be
bought at any lower rates. Still, as before noted,
everything Just now la In a nominal condition,
and values cannot be decided upon uutll goods
commence to move. For the day the market for
Brazils remains extremely dall and without sales,
but the apathy on West India grades has been
somewhat broken by the sale of 2756 bags Mara
calbo, per "Impulse," at about 19>?c gold. The
stock of Rio at tte ports, aa mada up by Messrs.
Wm. Scott A Sons to day, was 166,151 bags, In?
cluding 3500 at Galveston, 10,141 at New OrleanB,
4800 at Mobile, 1600 at Savannah, 25 341 at Balti?
more, and 120.863 at New York. We quote Rio,
cold in bond, nominally as follows: Ordinary
