PERMANENT CURE OF GRAVEL OF
TWELVE YEARS' STANDING-STONE
PASSED, AND TO BE SEEN.
BDBNSZDE, CON?., December 15,1869.
DEAS Sra-It 1B with muoh pleasure that I
write you upon facts respecting myself. I do
not i fcuo^ hardly how to exprese myself. I
have been for ?he last ten or twelve years the
greatest sufferer man could be and live, but
more sometimes than ethers. Tbe complaint
waa the "Kidneys" and "Bladder." I bave
been sometimes, from twelve to fourteen hours
and wanted to make water every minute, but
could not. Have consulted doctors both in
Massachusetts and thia State, and taken pills,
I may say, by the quart, also liquored medi?
cines; but found no relief from any, and got
worse the last eix months. I was so that I
could scarcely get about. I could not rest
night dr day. It would soon have been "all
up" with me if I bad not seen your advertise?
ment in tbe Berkshire Courier, beaded "Kid?
neys." I read it through, and thought I would
try it. I purchased a bottle; but, mind you, I
bad not much faith in it. Why should I,
when I bad been trying so many things and
coBt me so muoh ? Well, before I had taken
the first bottle I felt bad; but I finished it and
got another. By the time I took half of the
second I still got worse (apparently.) When I
walked it seemed as if my right ki in ey was
falling from its place, and I made up my mind
lt was no nee trying any more. And all this
time the "Bncbu" was doing ita work, but I
did not know it; BO I gave it up, and went to
Hartford, on Saturday, to one of tbe best doc?
tors in that. city. He said it was the neck of I
the bladder, and I should have t to undergo an
operation. He gave me medicine, and I went
borne quite down-hearted. On Sunday 1 was
unable to go to church. I had not taken of |
his medicine, but on my return continued
using the "Buchu," and in the afternoon I had
a desire to make water, but could not. About
one hour after this I tried again, with the
same result; but tbe next time I took the ves?
sel it was the same as turning a faucet and
atopping it off again. It was BO for three |
times, and tbe third time there was some?
thing came through the passage and struck
against the side of tbe vessel. I examined it,
and it is the ngliest stone or gravel you ever
saw, covered over with little pieces which col-1
lected together. It looks the color of a mud*
turtle, and is aa hard as flint. So jon eec the
"Buchu" was doing its work, although I was
feeling so badly. I procured another bottle,
thinking there might be some more behind;
but since that bas passed, which is eight
weeks ago last Sunday, I have been as well as
ever I was in my life. I have the etone secure?
ly wrapped, and those who have seen it in this
place are surprised. I cannot tell you all; but
tb ie is a true story of my case, and you are
welcome to make euch use of my name as you
think proper. I am pretty nell known in
Berkshire; also iu Connecticut. The ad ver
tisement saved me. Why not publish more ?
Tbe Springfield Republican is a widespread pa?
per. If any one wishes to see this wonder,
they can do so. I could write all day, but I think

DEAS SIB: I have been a sufferer for up?
ward of twenty yean with gravel, bladder and
kidney affections, during, whioh time I have
used various medical preparations, and been
under the treatment of the most eminent phy?
sicians, experiencing but little relief.
Having Been your preparation extensively
advertised, I consulted my family physician in
regard to naiog your Extract Buchu.
I did thiehecause I bad asea all klnde of ad?
vertised remedies, and had found them worth?
less, and eoe:e quite injurious; in fact, I des?
paired of ever getting well, and determined to
use no remedies hereafter nnleBs I knew of the j
ingredients. It was this that prompted me to
use your remedy. Aa you advertised that it
was composed of buchu, cnbebs and juniper
berries, it occurred to me and my physician
' aa an excellent combination; and with bis ad?
vice, after an examination of the matter, and
consulting again with the druggist, I conclud?
ed to try it. I commenced to use it about
eight months ago. at which time 1 was con?
fined to my- room. .
From the first bottle I was astonished''and
gratified at tbej beneficial effect, and after
using it three weeks was able to walk ont.
I felt much like writing to yon a full statement
of my case at the time, but thought my im

therefore concluded to defer, and see if it
would effect a perfect cure, knowing that it1
