HAVANA, December 80.- SCOABS-Clayed.- j
The- old stock is being shipped off steadily, and
there ls very little cf lt left In first hands, for j
which reason holders continue to exact previous
high prices, which buyers cf? nor feel disposed to
grant. Th s, combined with the Intervening holi?
days, has caused the present.week to be the quiet?
est one or the whole year, and not a single sale
worth mentioning has been made. Consequently

liveries of clayed sugars have been made s.nce j
those last reported.
The receipts of new sugars are still very small,
although the weather la reported to have been
genersBy dry and fine during the past week. Moa t - ,
of the receipts so far (about 7?00 to sooo boxes here
and at Matanzas) comprise centrifugals, and lt ls
verv likely that in view of the large demand they.,
have had this, and will probably have next year
ror the United States, the production will be in?
creased this seas n.
Centrifugals-As already stated lu previous re?
ports, the very few crops dl. engaged are held at
extravagant value?, and buyers display less ani?
mation, there having been no contracts made j
thia week. Of either old and new stock on hand
no sale has taken place here, and fair to prime are
quoted at from lO^allK rs per arrobe. From

between here and H1 tanzas.
Melado-Bayera have Increased th. ffers ror

The receipts or sugar at this port pince 1st Jan?

hhds, against 1,297,894 boxes and 48,094 bhdJln
1870. The deliveries, same period, were 950,614
