ACCIDENT.-The mate oi the steamship We?
hawken has reported to the Customhouse that
Captain Vanderpoo), or that vessel, while re?
taining fi om the city on Friday morning, In

heard trom since. There was a heavy sea and

boat became unmanageable and drifted be

Waat NEXT !-Just after dark, on Saturday

of a well-known physician bitched in front of

Market street near State, and, upon searching,

ACCIDENT OS THE CITY RAILWAY_Saturday
afternoon, about five o'clock, ai car No. 36, on
the Rutledge street Rae, was passing along
Wentworth street, between Glebe and Sf.
Fhillp, on the np trip, the front axle of the
ear broke, causing a prolonged stoppage on
that ruute. The horace were held under com
ma^J by the driver, and being stopped at
cnce, the passengers alighted in safety. The'
car blocked the track for several hours, form?

better satisfied, than when nominally paid
more and shaved ten per cent, and often
more, as ts alleged.
