WILMINGTON, November 2.-[Weekly Review.]
TOPENTI-E.-There has been no sp?cifie change
In the market for this article during the period
under review. The receipts have fallen off con?
siderable, and the stock on hand ls not sufficient
for distilling purposes. The market has ruled
without change, opening and closing at $3 50 for
bard, $5 2Mor yellow dip, and $5 35 for virgin.
TAR.-The existing demand at the close of our
last fur this article having become satisfied on
Monday, the market declined 15 centa. It has
since ruled steady, and all brought to market has
round ready sale. The receipts are larger than
the previous week, and the market closes firm at
$3 per bbl.
SPIRITS TURPENTINE -The market for this arti?
cle has ruled with more firmness as reg ?rds
prices, and an advance of 9 cents haa been estab?
lished. The transactions, however, have beea lim?
ited, owing maln'y to the race that sellers are
ho'ding at figures above the buyers, and the mar?
ket closes quiet bat firm at 61 Ji . per gallon. There
is only a small S'ock on market, which ls held lu
second hands, and the recelp's have been unusu?
ally light. Our exports show that during the
month o' October, 1871. 635) bbls were shipped
Coastwise and 2S70 bbls foreign-a decrease on
shipments of October, 1870. of 1396 bbls coastwise
and 444 bbls foreign.
ROSIN,-The fl inness reported in the market at
the close* of our last review for the lower grades,
his continued throughout the week just ended,
and prices have Improved 65a7Sc. There has also
been a moderate Inquiry for the finer qualities,
and parcels have generally found sale when offer
el at advanced figures The arrivals both by river
and ra lroad have been limited, and there ls very
little steck rem'lning in receive s' huida.
