There is rather more demand from the trade, ana
the rednced stock gives all parties more cona
dence. We learn of sales of 600 bags Rangoon and
Patna at $6 80a7 37, and 70 tes Carolina at 8Ka9K
eta. the latter price for choice. We take the fol?
lowing from the circular of Messrs Dan Talmage's
Sons:
. "The new croD or Carolina this year promises
flnelv. The season has been an unusually propi?
tious and forward one. The yield to the plainer,
without some untoward event, such as too much
dry weather, or a gale in September, will be ex?
ceedingly large. There being much rainy weather
In June,"the gross seed will be more prevalent
than In previous crop. The acreage planted ls in
excess of last year fully io per cent, and the In?
crease of yield, lt ls estimated, will be In equ it pro?
portion. The first of the new will probably arrive
as early as last year, 23d August The experience
of last season In sending forward crops half cured,
entailing heavy losses, by subsequent heatings,
