the parc of holders to realize than for some time
past. The crop prospects are more favorable
than noticed for some mouths past, end advices

A good steady trade demand prevails irom day to
day and former prices are obtained, and this
shows about the entire market. Holders are
reasonably steady tu both domestic and foreign
stock, but occasionally sh ade a little to desirable
customers without developing any real weakness.

Havana Market.
HAVANA, July 27.-The sugar market continues
very quiet at nominal prices Exchanges remain
Arm at 23>? per cent discount for 60- day United
States currency. Spanish gold 5>? per cent
premium; Mexican gold-one sale at 3>i per cent
premium.
There were no clearances of sugar hence for the
States yesterday. From Matanzas the John Paul
(bark) takes 2163 boxes and 185 hhds sugar, and
39 do melado for Sew York, and the Greenock
(bark.) 2175 boxes for the Clyde.
Freights are dull.
