THB CBOPS.-The reports from the Interior dn?
ring inls period were somewhat variable, a 'su?
perabundance of rain having been obtained in
?orne quarters, while the conditions in others
have been favorable. The adverse influences so far
this year have been numerous, and nave operated
against a successful growth. In this vicinity the
weather has been warm and generally propi?
tious. ,
TH? RE CE I ITS. -The arrivals at the cotton ports
for the week up to Friday last were were 28,136
bales, against 36,402 the week previous, and 17,095
the week last season. At New Orleans the receipts
were 8441 bales In "contrast, with 6840 the .season
previous. The total supplies at the cotton ports
from- September l, 1870, np to the latest mall
dates were. 3,816,542 bale?, against 2,788,370 the
year before, showing an Increase of 1,027,172 bales.
