season. Toe receipts at New Orleans were 10,555

before. The total supplies at the cotton ports
from September l, 1370, up to the latest mail-dates
were 3,701,977 bales, against" 2,711.783 bales the
year previous, showing an increase of 090,194
bales. The arrivals at the principal Southern
markets from September 1, 1870, up to the latest
telegraphic intelligence, as comparta with the
