learn of any change In the market. Domestic is
qui er. There ls not much stock here, and holders
Insist on rull rates; but bnyers continue to pur?
chase only as necessity dictates. We quote 8??a I
8Xc in Rangoon there isa moderate business,
at steady rates. 400 bazs in bond sold at $3 40,
gold.
From the World: On domestic sellers appear to
have things pretty much all their own way. the
very small stock and stimulating advices from
the South helping the position greatly. The ask?
ing rates f-.re 8&aSJ?c, ror common "o prime Caro?
lina, and 9c for choice do., though at these figures
buyers aro taking scarcely anything. Foreign in
fair request and tinner. Sales 400 bags Rangoon,
at S3 40, gold, lu bond for export; and small lots

Spirits turpentine there i3 no decided change
quoted. The bustness is limited to small parcels
lor trade use. sales embrace 100 bbls in mer?

at 54KC, closing at these figures. Rosins-The
market for strained has been pugtiert up 10c per
bbl. Tho stock ls welt controlled; there are but
few outside Io's offering. Cargoes to arrive are
held at $2 85; small lots in yard were offered at
$2 75a2 30. Sales are reported of 400 at $2 75; loon

this article there has existed a good inquiry
during the week just closed, and the price of sort

SPIRITS TURPENTINE.-During the week Ju?
ended the market for this article has ruled lu

transactions have taken place. Up to Tuesday

has generally m.ed quiet, while for the finer qual?
ities a goo-1 demand Has existed and lull prices
obtained. Receipts have been meagre, and the
