Marion has had a quiet and cold Christmas^
the weather being the severest known fbr
many years. Thursdaymight before the 25th
ultimo snow fell, covering the ground to a
depth unusual in Ulis country. Friday, Sat!
urday, .Sunday and Monday were intensely,
? cold, preventing much of the jollity usnaj
during Christmas boMaye. The young men,
however, were not to he frozen out of the
pleasures of the tourney, and joh Monday
toe 26th, with gay costumes and prancing (Ti
steeds, tilted like knights of the olden time.
