THE CROPS.-The weither during t he early.part
Of the week just terminated was moderate and
dry, and cotton picking proceeded favorably, but
since lt has been stormy and unsettled. The pro?
tracted favorable season should produce good re?
sults on thc crop, but the very low price will, per?
haps, tend to counteract this advantage.
TH RECFIPTS.-The arrivals at the colton ports
for the week np to Friday last were 118,689 bales,
against 122,133 bales the week previous and 85,
765 bales for the corresponding time last year.
'The receipts at Kew Orleans wrre 37,101 bales, In
contras', with 27,964 bales the week or the year
previous. The. total supplies at the cotton ports,
from Sepremberr,1870. up to the latest mall dates,
were 919 750 bales, against 795,539 bales the sea?
son before, showing an Increase of 124,211 bales.

NAVAL STORES.-These articles come forward in
a more liberal way, the receipts having been
about 2500 bbls of all qualities. The transactions

low pale roc?n at $s 26 fl bbl; 41 bbls extra No. 1
at $3 75.
HAT.-There have been received about Too bales
of North River qualities. A sale or North River
took place on private terms. Jobbing lots of this
quality are held at $1 70 ft hundred.
CORK.-The arrivals are .now mainly composed
of small lots of prime white from Baltimore,
which ls used ror local purposes. Transactions
in this quality hu ve taken place at about $1 04 fi
bushel, weight, sacks included.
OATS.-The market ls fairly supplied, the inquiry
being almost entirely for the wants of the reta!
trade. It may be quoted at 60@66 cents ft
bushel, weight, sacks included.
FLOCK.-Dealers arc supplied with most quali?

ing rather more firmness. Northern and Western

a very restricted demand. There is an abundance

19c; salted shoulders at ll>?@12}?, and long clear

VEGETABLES AND FKDIT.-Irish potatoes an In
abundant supply, and peach blows may bc quoted
at $3 25<&350 3? bbl; Jackson whites at $3; Good?
rich, Ac, $2 75 fl bbl. Onions are in light stock,
and sell at $5@5 50 ft bbl. Cabbages, grown In
this vicinity, are coming forward of a good quali?

are in moderate supply, and are held at about $2?
ft M. Apples are in limited stock; those In poor
