dosed upon me, and I was a prisoner.
The gloom wae BO great, that though it was

my explanation ? Surely, my manner and ap?
pearance were not those of a pick-.Bat my
heart sank within mo as I remembered that

tills week in face of the unfavorable advices from
Liverpool. The quotations show an advance or

bull clique to corner July contracts. Much indlg
nation has been expressed lately by the cotton
commnnlty at the ridiculous quotations of the
Liverpool market. It ls a pity Bach mistakes
cannot be avoided.
