To box and pit and gallery swarm
The expected throng-I am'there to see;
And now she is bending her radiant form

Boston Market.
BOSTON, January 12.-COFFEE.-There ls scarce?
ly anything doing in coffee, but prices are about
thc same. Wc quote small lots of Java at 22j{a
23.'? els, in bags and pockets; and Rio have been
taken in small lots at previous prices. In St Do
miugo nothing has been done, and prices are quite
nominal.
Corros.-The receipts of thc week have been
fair, but mostly on manufacturers' account, and
stock for sale does not exceed 2000 bales. There
is no material change to notice in the market, but
for some days past the tendency of prices has
beeu in favor of buyers. Thc sales have been at
a:4 . for ord in arv; 24iia24??'c for good ordi?
nary; 25R25' ;c for low middling: and 25)<?a26c $
lb for middling, including upland and Gulf.
DOMESTICS.-There has not been much activity
to notice in either cottons or woollens; stocks of
cottons arc light and desirable kinds arc held firm,
and for spring woollens an increased demand is
soon looked for.
PR nr.-Malaga raisins are firm and higher.
Sales to some extent at $4 3d per box for layers,
and *". per box for loose Muscatel. Smyrna figs
have been selling at 13al5c per lb for loose drams.
By auction. 1500 packages St. Michael's oranges
at $5 soaSO 2"> for Russia cases; $4 40a4 90 for half
ca.ses. and *2 60a2 90 for boxes.*
GUNNY BAGS.-There have been sales of 300
bales light at 1SJ?; and 100 bales heavy at 18c,
currenrj. The market is firm.
GUNNY CLOTH.-There has been considerable
doing la cunny cloth, and prices have advanced,
with mon: or less speculative inquiry. Sales of
looo bales Borneo, to arrive, at ll^'ailKc, gold,
and 4uo tuiles native at 10.'.?al0j?c, gold, in bond;
now held at 12 for Borneo and ]0?? for native.
Currency prices are nominally 21a22cper yard.
HAY.-The sales of hay have been at $l5al8 ?
ton for inferior to $22a25 ^ ton for good and
prime. The market is abundantly supplied.
NAVAL STOKES.-Spirits turpentine has ad?
vanced to 48a49c 9 gallon, but the sales have
been only in small lots. Tar is quiet, and no sales
of anv importance. In rosin, sales of 500 bbls
strained and No. 2 at price not public. In pitch,
sales onlv in small lots.
RICE.-The sales have been small at "}ic f. lb
for good Carolina.
