With some few exceptions the market remains
the same as at onr last report. The business
transactions have been limited in consequence of
a, the stringency of money, which is held by the

City stock is held at 57 a to 58. The coin bill now

THE RECEIPTS, Ac^-The receipts at the cotton
ports for tho week ending on Friday last, say
100,348 bales, were against SS.S04 bales for the
week last year, and with a better condition of thc
Western rivers it is expected that the arrivals
will be considerable for several weeks. New Or
leans, however, still drops slightly behind last
pear, while Texas and Mobile show an Increase.
? Although this is the period of the year when the
heavies; supplies may be locked for. prices have
-continued to exhibit steadiness, and it begins to
he supposed that the staple has reached its lowest

bushels from Baltimore, aud two small cargoes
from North Carolina amounting to about 4000
bushels. Sales or North Carolina have taken

Thc demand, although still restricted, has latterly

prime Goshen. We quote good to prime at 400

BALT.-The arrivals or this article have been
abont 6000 sacks. Importers are placing thc late
arrivals in bond, and are not offering. Retail

INDIA BAIKJING.-The market is fairly supplied
with this article, and wc quote 23024c ft yard
Dundee bagging, 44 inches, 1% lbs. for the yard,
