MISPLACED CLEMENCY.-Amomr the prison
ors sentenced by Judge Carpenter was one Jumes
Henry alias Dullhead, a noted law breaker. He
was sentenced at thc inst tenn of court to thc
penitentiary Tor a migrant enso or larceny, and
was pardoned by Governor Scott, but three days
after his release he was rearrested upon another
ohargo of the same nature. Thc Judge said thal
in ibis cuse the executive clemency was clearly
misplaced, and sentenced Dullhead to seven
rears' sojourn in thc penitentiary.
