Anotuer Pirk.?At half-past 7 o'clock, Satur day morning, w hile the Citadel was burning, uu alarm or Are was given. It was occasioned by the partial burning of an outhouse belonging to Nr. J. 0.-Lacoste, on Montague street. Tito flumes were extinguished before much damage was done. It Is supposed the lire originated from sparks from the fire at the Citadel. Tub Railroad Inhicatoh, patented by E. n. Marshall, of Atlanta, and owned by t;encrai Walker, were yesterday plaeed on each passenger train on the South Carolina Railroad leaving Charleston. Mr. Spoirord enme to New York with his long-tried partner, Mr. Tilcston, from the East, and started In the wholesale shoe trade, but this they abandoned entirely iu 1640, aud since that time the Ilrm lias only been known by Us connect ion with the shipping interests of the country, having established lines to Havana Charleston ami other prominent ports. On Friday night last the Union held a meeting and resolved that as the "longshoremen have ever been true to the principles and the Instincts of justice in maintaining the rights aud the honor of Hie laboring classes, both individually and col loettvely, which cannot fail to be regarded aud win not be forgotten by its members, no aid or oncouragemcut ought to be given to those men who arc striving to weaken und break up the Union,*' and therefore "no member shall be al lowed to work at storing or store any cottou for auy stevedore who Is not a member of the Union, under pain of being lined iu the sum of ten dol lars." A committee of nine was appointed to report any member who violated the resolution. A Sail Boat IU'S Down?Fivh Primons IH'rled into the Watkii.?About half-past C o'clock last night the steamer Dictator, from Savannah, rau min a sail boat containing four men and a buy, oif Castle Pinckncy. The wheel of the steamer crushed in the stem of Hie boat. The cries of the occupants was Hie first knowledge the olUeors of the steamer had of Its proximity to Hie boat. As rapidly as was possible, after the acci dent, a boat was lowered from the steamer, uud sent In search of Hie boat's crew. After a short search they were picked um placed on ihe steam er und brought up lo Hie city. Beyond a thorough soaking llisy received no damage. Mr. John Lawrence, an experiences! seaman, was In charge of the sail boat. He states that he made over1 ffort to get out of the way, and also to make 1I10 pilot of the steamer alter her course, but all in vain. The above was communicated to us by Oillccrs Truall and Hernandez, who were on the steamer returning from Savannah, where they went In charge of the swindlers, Wcstlakc and Bergman. They state tliat Major Wlltcrberger, proprietor of the Puluskt House, who, with the merchants, was swindled, was very glad to sec the swindlers in custody. C. _ _ TnE Fini at the Citadel Saturday Morn i Mi?E.xtlohion op CaRTRIDUES?A C C i dents?Letter of Colonel Eoie.?At a quarter past six o'clock on Saturday morning lust smoke was seen issuing from the lower portion or the west wing or the Citadel, nnd the alarm was given. About a hair or an hour artcrward the alarm was sounded from the bell. The firemcu with the apparatus of that district were promptly on the ground, and worked manfully to extin guish tho flames. There was a strong easterly wind blowing at the time, and while it prevented any dnmage from the Qrc to the main portion of the Citadel, yet carried showers of sparks in a westerly direction. Several times the roofs or the row of houses on King street, opposite the Citadel, were set aflre by sparks, but were Immediately extinguished. By 8 o'clock, the Harnes wero subdued, but only after the whole or the west wing, excepting the walls, was consumed. Had the Are occurred* at night, tho damage to property would hare been much greater, as It is more than probable that several of tho houses on King street would have been destroyed. Tho amount or damage Is not known. The Are la supposed by soroo to have been caused by the sparks from a soldier's pipe railing Into the liny. In the store-room where the lire originated were stored several hundred pounds or hay and straw, uni about two thousand tube cartridges. The rooms over the store-room were used as quarters for tho soldiers. During the Arc these tube car tridges commenced to explode. Tho spectators, not knowing exactly what caused these explo sions, rapidly moved out of range. Fortunntcly no one was hart. The cap or one or the specta tors was pierced by a fragment or the exploding missiles. There woreseveral accidents during the flrc.but none, we arc grutltlcd to state, were or a serious character. Two soldiers, whose usual way or egress rrom their sleeping quarters was cut off by tho Haines, Jumped rrom the windows, and re ceived severe bruises. Mr. White, a member or Truck Company, No. 1, was slightly Injured by tho capsizing of a truck. An usual there Is much complaint about the sounding or tlio alarm bell. It Is stated that tho ringer Rounded for the sixth district when ho should have sounded tor the fifth; that he did not sound the bell until half an hour after the alarm was given; that when ordered to call oat tho Bre men or the first district he sounded the general alarm, and brought out the en lire department.
