QUARTERLY REPORT OP Tns CHIEF OF POLICE ARRESTS?, FINES, Ac-At the meeting or Cou? ell last night thc Chief or Police submitted lils quarterly report, embracing thc months or July, August and September. Thc report shows that during the quarter there have been eight hundred and ninety-five persons arrested by the police force; that of this number eighty-one were turned over to magistrates, two hundred and ten sent to' i he House of Correction, ten to thc Hospital, three to thc Old Folk's Home, two to tito Almshouse, one to the Colored Or phanhousc, one sent to New York, ono to Mount Pleasant, five turned-over to the Recorder, ten to the detectives, nine cases referred to the Coroner, nnd that two hundred and lirty-ouo persons paid thc fines Imposed by thc Mayor.
