A Bow BETWEEN WOMEN-A MAW rs THE CASS.-George Fordham, Mrs. Hogan, white, i-Kate Lee aad Mollie Sweeney, colored, appear? ed before tbe Mayor yesterday to answer the charge ot being engaged in a general row. It appeared, from the testimony, that Fordham rented a room from Hrs. Hogan, elating that .it was for himself and wire. Bat instead of bringing that lsdy t o the room, he placed therein Kate and Mollie. Mrs. Hogan ascertaining this, web* up there and ordered tba negroes to leave. - Bato strack ber' in the mouth with a ?ap and Mrs. Hogan stabbed her. Kate was fined $10 and tbe others discharged. THE FIRST COOLIE SBIP.-The bark Acacia, which arrived at Baltimore, Thursday, the 19th inst?, reports speaking, no date, latitude or longitude, the brig Betsy Ames, Thur it .ra, one hundred and sixty days from Hong Kong, with .coolies tbe Charleston. ' There ia. probably some trror in this report, as no information is known ber? in reference tot this vessel. It may, however, prove trae, an3 in that case, we can prepare a welcome for tbe first vessel with Chinese laborers. It may be tbat this brig may have been destined for some of tbe Cuban ports, and been ordered elsewhere in con seinen ce of the unsettled state of that is? land. Tn SICK TBAESXBXT POOR.-Last night certified copy of the number of (he "sick transient poor," taken care ot. by the city during tbs year ending 10th of Angnst, 1869 was sent to Governor Scott. Tbe report shows that three hundred and eighty Avb persons were taken care of at the Alms House, st cost 6118450; six hundred at the City Hospi tal, at a cost of ?11,880; twenty-seren at the O Folk's Borne, at a costo! $880; five hundred and twelve at the 8hirar Dispensary, at a cost of $1228; six hundred and fifty in Health Dis? trict No. 4, at a cost of $1560. Transportation was furnished to one hundred and ninety-two at a cost of $1167. As some of these persons doubtless received i as?stanos frfm two or more of the institutions Dametthe exact number provided for cannot be stated. The cost of sustaining them, and providing transportation tor those who desired to leave the oity, was about $29,000. A negro woman recently had her husband m t m jail for heating her, and then came near latching a dozen sunstrokes running around ryrng to get security to get him out. Joseph Friz er and J. M. Stewart, colored ?est their wives and were sentenced by the layer, yesterday, to twenty days' imprison Mot. A crazy negro named Polly Anne Ore, was ent to the Old Folks' Home by the Mayor, esterday.
