demand, but holders were Indifferent about selling.

day, the sales were confined to one or two small lots

Daring the wee* thc demand bas been very light,
the tales only reaching 8101 b> les, mostly to pp n
" sera. Quotations are <?c to %c lower, as compared
with last week. Liverpool opened st 12 #d, declined
to 82)?d on Monday, at which figure the market
closed firm on Friday. Spinners there have kept
well i nt of the market, taking only ?5,000 bales.
Their steak at toe ruing nave been reduced 15.000
balsa this week, as tho consumption is still upwards
of 00.000 bases. On spinners would be glad to see
pri?es decline on this side, and we bear that some

stocks of cotton and goods were larger a combined
