Parsons, who is suing the bank for over *30,0( Langston, who is suing for over $15,000, a: others, who are suing for varions amounts, restrain them from prosecuting their snits judgment. It prays also the advice of t court to the directors in respect to the Uah itv of the bank for $350,090 lent to the Conic erato States in notes of the bank, to recov which is in part the objeot of the suits. The bill states that the directors bare tl power to call in additional instalments of cai tal stock, which will be sufficient to pay off t! debts of the bank and enable the directors go on with its bus me33; bat that they aro et barr aaa ed, not knowing for what amount debt evidenced by the notes in circulation ai now in snit the bank is really liable. It is said that a multiplicity of suits U brought against the bank apon ita notes ; so mt in this court and some in State courte; bul this ia not that sort of multiplicity of suitt which gives jurisdiction to a court of equity They are all anita on money contracte, and art all properly brought at law. Those which art brought in the State courts are obviously be yond our jurisdiction; and there ia no principle of whioh we are aware which will sanction ai interference with tho JO whiob are brought ot the common law sids ol this court. It ia urged by the complainant that inasmuch aa a creditor might file a bill seoking the aid. ot the court to enforce the disclosure of asseti and to compel the calling in by the trustees 0; unpaid capital for the satisfaction of judg? ment?, so a creditor willing to dieolose all his assets and resources and to place himself un? der tba direction of a court ia the administra? tion of them must be entitled to ita aid and guidance in auch administration. Bat the appeal before ua asks something more than thia. It aska us to determine in advance the rights of tho bank as against ita creditors. It ta not a creditor's bal bat a debtor's bill, and whatever r ghta the creditor . may bare to the intervention of tho court, it is very olear that the debtor has no ?ooh right, such as bj set up by thia bill to that interposition. The prayer tor injunction mast be denied. Saturday haring been fixed for the call of the admiralty appeal docket, the following oases were heard : Salaa & Co. ra. schooner Aid; breaoh of charter party. Porter and Conner and A. G. Magrath, Esqs., for appellant; Campbell and Seabrook for appellee. DeCottes and Salas rs. Mary Hart, owner of schooner Aid; libel for d?marrage. Porter and Conner and A. G. Magrath for appellants; Campbell and Seabrook for appellees. In the above cases Mr. Conner and Mr. Magrath were heard for appellants, and Mr. J. B. Campbell for appellees. Decision resorved. The hearing of the case of tho United States vs. two hundred and fifty hogsheads of sugar, Ac, cargo of schooner Aid, condemned tor vio? lation of the revenue laws, has been fixed for this day. D. T. Corbin, Esq, United States District Attorney, and Messrs. Duryea & Cohen appear for the government, and Mes rs. Porter & Conner and A. G. Magrath, Esqs., contra. The Chief Justice gare notice that all the cases on the Admiralty appeal docket would be heard, after which the equity cases will be taken up, to be followed by the issue docket. Wotfmeyer, of Charieeton, who, when about to leave for his home, fell in company with another German, Damed Charlea Karcher. They took passage on the City Point, and went on board some bme before the Bailing of the steamer. Mt. Wolf meyer laid down and was soon aaleep, when bia friend Karcher took from bia pocket sixty two dollars, and also two passenger tickets for Charleston. He Sold the two tickets to one of the officers of the steamer, left the boat and returned to the city. Mr. VTolfmejer soon awoke, missed his money and went after the rogue, whom, with the ass is tan co of a detect? ive, he found. Tb? weather on Saturday forenoon waa ex? tremely warm,'the boat being np to our summer standard, the thermometer during the hottest part of the day indicating a temperature of ninety degree?. Early in the afternoon the gathering of dark clouds was noticed in the wost, and the signs which usually indicate the ap? proach of a thunder squall wore strikingly ap? parent. TheBo tokens of a coming change in the weather continued to accumulate and gather over the city until half-past three P. H., when a fierce wind from northwest, ac? companied by rain, suddenly arose, the heavi? est of the blast lasting hardly ten to fifteen minutes. That time, however, sufficed for the gale to do a deal of damage. Fences and light and exposed buildings were prostrated in every direction; powerful branches were twisted from trees that could hare withstood any ordi? nary blow, and the roofs of quite a number of buildings were more or less injured. THE GALE IN THE EA EB OR. But the moat disastrous and lamentable effect of the force of the wind was experienced on the water, where several boats were capsized, in ono ot which three persons, a mother and ber two sons, were unfortunately drowned. A Mr. Donglaes, wife and three children, accom? panied by two colored boatmen, l?ft the city shortly before tho blow, in a substantial sailing boat, called the Malta, bouud for Bull's Island, where Mr. D. was in the futuro to be employed as assistant keeper of the lighthouse. When the boat had reached a point m tho harbor near Castle Pinckney she waB struck by an overwhelming gust, foroinsr the vessel on her broadside, and filling ber with water. One of the colored boatmen got into a small craft which was sent from tho United 8tates revonue cutter Racer, and with his aid Mr. Douglass and one of the children was picked np, the other boatman also managiug to keep afloat u nil rescued; but Mrs. Douglass and her two sons, who were underdeelt, were, we learn, not Been after the accident, and it is supposed that they were immediately drowned. Up to last evening their bodies had not been recovered. Nothing was saved but a small box of wearing apparel. The boat was taken in tow, after the squall, in a sunken con? dition, and brought to a position off the battery, by the pilot boat Wild Cat, Captain Jones. A water-boat was capsized in Ashley Biver, but was afterwards got into shallow water off Chisolm's Mill, where she was secured. There were reports of oth ?r accidents in the harbor, but they were generally of an unimpor? tant character, and not attended with disas? trous features. Teasels arriving from sea since the squall report having the wind only in the usual form of an ordinary thunder gust, with? out any features indicating unusual force. Dr THE cn v. The dangers, though not of a very ( serious character, as far as we can hear, were quite numerous. The roof of tho fire-room, attached to Stein meyer's saw mill, Gadsdeu-street, was taken off by the rind, Carried entirely over the mill and landed safely in the middle of the mill yard-a distance of about seventy feet. A ne? gro who was in the yard at the time saw it coming and bad presence of mind enough to fall flat on the gejound, and thereby escaped being killed. The shed fell over him, bat lett space enough for him to crawl from under. All of the mill hands except two fled, being under the impression that the boiler bad burst. Mauldmg's and Brodie's mills, both in the western part of the city, were partially un? roofed. The negro coopers employed in the premises, think? ing the last day had come, incontinently held a pra ver-nee tin g. A wooden house at the west end of Spring street was blown down. It bad not been occu? pied for some time, but had been rented. For? tunately the tenants had not taken possession. The wheel of tho windmill at Mr. George A. Trenholm's residence was carried away, t A hugo portion of the west wall of the mas? sive cathedral rains in Broad-street gave way to tho blast and fell with a crash inside the ohurch. The slating on St. .Michael's Chorea was damaged, and a portion of it ripped off and whirled into the street. The tin roofing on tho new Customhouse was rolled up like a bolt of cloth, exposing the shed to the weather. A freight car in the yard of the South Ca? rolina Railroad had the roof taken off. i The roof of Senator Sawyer's residence waa damaged and a hole made therein.' In various parla of the city the scuttles on the tops of houses were lifted and blown some distance by the gale, thorne anxiety waa felt about the] safety of Mesara. Jarvie Barberand Ludovici, who were on their way, by water, to a place on Cooper Biver; bat a note received from them yesterday announced that they had been fortunate enough to affect a landing in time. THE Q ALE ELM TO ESE. From the aooounts whioh reach na by tele? graph, the gale must have swept with more or leas force over a wide extent of country. We hear of it at Augusta, Savannah, Colombia, Wilmington and even as far north as Fortress Monroe. We shall have the details of its effects to-day or to-morrow. THE BIOS TIEBOE QUESTION.-"Planter'? writes to the Georgetown limes, complaining that the recent action of the rice dealers here is "a genteel way of dictating that thc price of rice shall be reduced one fourth of a cent per pound."
