COTTON-The receipts this week have boen 1812
bales, of which S97 bales were frcm New Orleans, 260
from Norioik, 264 by tbe Providence Railroad, and
243 by the Albany Railroad. The market has been
dull throughout the week, although prices advanced
>?<- V> lb. The sales this week bsve been 2000 bales,
and the stock hero ls 15,000 halen. We quote ordi?
nary at 26c; good ordinary 27c; low middling 28c;

GUNNY BAOS.-Tbe market is quiet The prices
are nominally 16>?al7>?o cash. Sales of 60 bales in
New York at 17c currency.
GUNNY CLOTH.-The merket is firmer with amore
active demand. Sales of 500 bales at 21 Ko currency,
deliverable in June; 200 bales at 16c gold ; 300 bales
at 20)fcC currency; 150 bales at 20&C currency.
NAVAL BTOBBS.-Spirits turpentine was firm and
prices advanced, wi'h sales at 66a66o, but has since
declined to 63o per gallon. Tar has bo n in demand
with salos of 1100 bbls to arrive at $4 per bbl. In
pitch or rosin we hear of no sales ot importance.
Rica.-Tbe market is dull. Sales of Carolina at
9%al0c; Rangoon 9c per pound.
TEAS.-Teas have been vu-y quiet this week. Sales
of lines are wanted by the trade at prices same as
last reported. Oolongs: we quote common to fair
