of negro bonds Messrs. T. M. Banckrl and L. W.
Spratt closed the argument, and the court reserved
the decision. 'The call of the country issue docket
was resumed, and several cases thereon disposed of.
The Judge then discharged the juries from further
attendance upon tbe court. D. T. Corbie, Esq.,
mad o a motion for writs of quo warranta and man
damut against the Acting Major and Aldermen of
the City of Charleston, and the writs were granted
and a rule issued to the defendants to show cause on
Friday, the 19 th, why the mandamus should not bo
made peremptory. Iho court announced that tho
remaining two days of tbe week would be devoted to
hearing oi motions and such causes in equity as par
' ties were ready to try, and that on Mor jay tho per?
emptory call of the equity docket would bo com?
