OUR FARMS.-With the steady enlargement
of our means of communication with the cities of
the North, where articles cf fo:d, if not very high,
meet a good demand, the lands in this vicinity
should beeome of great value. The capacity of our
soU to produce a variety, and at a season which will
render them very desirable there, must secure them
a market at very rcmuuoialives rates. Our farms
on Charleston neck aro greatly improving hythe
skilful application of labor, and many of them aro
being cultivated lu tho most superior manner, pro?
ducing a growth oquil to any in tho worid. We
have lately seen cabbages and turnips, the produce
of the fa m of Mr George Martin near the forks of

stands the management of his land.
