A SMALL COIN.-A Californian quarter dollar
was received in this city yesterday, and on account
of the rarity of such thin-s in Charlton, is worth
describing. It is not a United States coin, but ia
from a State cr private mint. It is about as large
round as a throe et nt piece and very thin, weighing
only the sixty-fourth part of an onnce. On one side
is stamped the head of Liberty encircled with stars,
and on the reverse the denomination of the coin in
a wreath of leaves. It is very well executed, but
too small for ordinary uso.
Luaus NATURE.-There may be seen at the
store of Drs. Raoul & Dynah, corner King and Mar?
ket streets, a remarkable tutus ratura, a pig with
two perleot bodies and sets of legs. The body of
one is fused into the side and shoulder of tbe other,
from which the fore feet project. From the point
of fusion the developme it is almost natural until
the Bnout is reached, where the dual formation is
again miniiested. There are also two tongues, ono
perfectly developed, the other adherent to the roof
of the upper jw, Tbl i curiosity waB brought from
tho plantation of Mr. Raggett, near Green Pond, on
tho line of the Savannah ?nd Charleston Railroad.

reasons which made it necessary to file tbe bill, in
order that exact justice might bo done to all par?

Mr. Wm. Whaley repl'ed, saying that tho scope of
the bill was to protect all parties except tho bill
holders, and that an injin.dion to stay proceedings
at law could not be granted in this case unless tho
fund was under the adminstration of the court.
THEATBE.-A large audience attended thc
benefit of Miss Annie Belaud, last evening, and
were highly pleased with the performance. "Blow
for Blow" was well played throughout. Miss Bo?
land as " Mildred Craddock" ard " Alice Pethe?
rick," th e twin sistere.gave un the finest specimen of
actisg we have Feen during her engagement. Mr.
Sutton as "John Drummond" was as usual excellent.
Mr. Reese plajed " bpraggs," and by his acting of
the charac ter, which is.tl.e most important he has
playod in this elly, convinced us ho possesses comic
talent in a high degree. All tbo other members of
the co mpany acquitted themselves with credit.
To-night is the last of the present season, as the
company open in Savannah on Monday. Miss Bo?
land will appear in a new play, entitled " Lost in
London," and * 'Mr. and Mrs. George Bard ey," who
arrived in town last evening to join Mr. Gilbert's
Company, will appear ia two comic songa. Lot
