Ho would bear to tua end of lifo a gratelul recollection of the occasion; and ho ielt a deep friendship for tho members of tho bar, who had all extended to him every courtesy. With earnestness and in cl quent terms ho rolerrod to tho court, and expressed ro grct that be had not beon ablo to file dooroo* in all tho causes which he had heard, in consequence of press of businoss and want ol health. The touching remarks of (ho Chancellor drew forth from tho Hon. James B. Canipholl a few words of parting, in which Ms referred lo tho high charactor and the groat antiquity of thc court, which ho hoped would bo roviveJ. Tho Chancellor thon adjourned tho court. Throughout tho whole proceedings a profound si lence reigned, and the bar generally sooinod greatly affected.
