Templeton & Co. have more than fud?lled their promise nf furnish? ing Charleston with a good exhibition, and wo aro glad that they design returning, at an carly dey, with new attractions. There will be a few days o." intermission of public amusements, when the Japanese Juggler^, who are now performing at Savannah, will arrive and wal exhibit their won- j ! ders at the Theatre next week. That contra?is between any persons whatever, whereof ene or moro of them ahaU be a person of color, shall be governed by the same rules as contracts where all tho parties j therelo aro whites. General Orders, No. 145, give the arrangement of the troops in North and South Carolina; and states that Commanding OfScors of Posts fro designated, ilso, as anb-Assietact Commissioners of the Freedmen's Bureau within their Districts. Post Commanders arc instructed to act, as far as possible, through the civil authorities, and g.vo them moral support and physical aid whenever ? necessary. THE PAROCHIAL SCHOOL OF TH. C=V:.:H OF THE j HOLT CooutUSiOS_In accordanco with a notice j published in the daily papers, this school was or? ganized yesterday, preparatory to ibo opening cn Monday, the 9th. The school building is linnie- j diately north of the Church of the Holy Commu? nion, and bas been heretoforo used as the Sunday School of the Church. Rev. Mr. Porter, the Pas? tor of the Church and tho projector of tho school, has just returned from a visit to the North, where he went to procure pecuniary assistance for the school. His effort? in this respect were very successful, aa the subject appeared to excite semo interest, and the donations to tho cause wore very liberal. At Baltimore and New York this was par? ticularly noticeable, and the contributions for tho cause of education were given with cn unstinting hand. While at the North, Rev. Mr. Porter pro? cured tho necessary furniture fer tho school, and tho building is fitted up in tho mest approved style. Mr. John Gadsdsu, who wa?. elected principal, has been busily engaged in organizing thc schcol, arranging the different classes, cvi assigning the ? scholars according to their maits. It :3 experted I that tbe school will accommodate fully fonr hun? dred pupils of different aj,es and sexe?. The course of study will be somewhat similar to that of thc High School, with the exception of religions instruction, which will form a prominent charac? teristic of tho institution. The scholars aro ox pected to pay tho email sum of fifty rents per month, which CID bo easily furnished, and will materially aid in the support of thc school. Although this school has been chiefly organized by the church, it is not intended t < bc exclusive, and pupils from different paris of the oitry end dis? trict will bo received. As yet, tbc la* ger number of pupils received have been in thc primary de? partment, bu: vhen tho classes are thoroughly organized, ana the corps of teachers sclcciod, tho studies will bo arranged, and pupils of all grades will be accepted.
