If the crop were held back, and we did recover a cent or two, we must remember that the. cotton has got to find un outlet, and that when the quantity so held back should be push ted forward to meet any possible advance, it would tend to depress the marketa more thoroughly than by a grad nal supply, and where one man might benefit, a thousand would be suffere: s.
