[From the Dublin University Magazine.] THE ORGAN. Her binds strayed over tho organ netos. And there rose such music, sweetly grand. That as 1 listened I sighed and thought. The notes are touched by an angel's hand. The sunlight stole through tho diamond panes And feU on her golden rit piing hair, And as I gaz<HL 1 proudly thought. A crown of glory is resting there. Tlirough tho open window a murmur came, Of summer breezes, sweet and clear And as I heard, I saoly thought. Tis an angel's wings that are rustling near. I stand In that lonely room one more, But the golden light is fled. And the hand that hod strayed o'er the organ notes Is motionless and dead. , And I think of that evening long ago, When our love had just begun, As I saw her sitting by my side lu the light of a dying sun. Having played upon a Piano-forte made' by Messrs. Chlckering k Sons, of Boston and Kew York, I ha?e much ploasure lu testifying to its general excellence. For sweetness and brilliancy of tons, delicacy of touch and magnificent power for concert purposes, I consider it a really GBAND PIANO-FOIITK, ANO DECIDED? Among the chief points of excellence of tho Chlckar* lng Pianos, of which speak the renowned artists in their congratulatory testimonials to the Messrs. Ohickering, are the greatest possible depth, richness and volume of tone, combined with a rare brilliancy, clearness and perfect evenness throughout tho entire scale; and, above all, a surprising duration of sound, the pure and sympathetic quality of which never changes under the most delicate or powerful touch. During the past forty-three years this firm has manu, actuied 80,000 PIANOS, In the construction cf which they have introduced every known and valuable improvement They have invaria? bly been selected and used by all of the world's ac? knowledged great artists who have visited this couniry professionally, both for private and public use. THALBERG. I consider Chlckering k Sons' Pianos, bsyond com* parison, the best I have ever aten tn America, UOTTSCHALK. I consider Ohickering & Sons' Planes superior to any in the world. They are'unrivalled for their singing qualities and for the harmonious roundness of their tone. There ls a perfect homogeneity throughout all the registers. The upper notes are remarkable for a clearness and purity which I do not find in any other instrument, while the base is distinguished for power without harshness, and for a magnulceut sonority. WKIlhl, Your Pianos ere superior to any I have ever seen In this country or in Europe. I have never h(ard a tone so perfect; it yields every expression that is needed lu music, and its quality ls capable ol change to meet every sentiment. This ls a raro power, and ls derived from the perfect purity of its tono, together with its sympathetic, elastic and well balanced tench. POZNANSKI. During the past eight years I have constantly played upon the j nstly celebrated Erard Pianos ; yours are the only instruments that I have found, either here or In Europe, to equal them In all their points of excellence. It may be satisfactory to our patrons and friends among the public at large to state that testimonials have been received from all tho leading artists who have visited or are now residing In the United 8tates, a few of whose names, besides those above, we append: LEO.
