unhewn stone. A cross was formad in imitation
of tho nativo pino, aud every knot and peculiarity
in tho bark was faithfully delineated. Tho cross

wild flowers grow spontaneously. Tho workman?

ll ce. tn tho greatest credit upon thc author, Mr.
W. T. Wrrrrx. Tho wholo work was dono in his
yard, under Mr. WHITE'S own supervision, and is a
conclusivo proof that Charleston mechanics aro

city, and is placed ovor tho gravo of his only child,

bearing tho inscription : "To our only child."
