John Bright, who wa i very dark, was fined $2 for breaking a gas lamp, and thereby rendering it less bright. -Morris Pringle, a very aged colored man, whose infirmities rendered him useless to the members or the philanthropic school, was sent to the Alms House. A white mah, who had struck a colored person without cause," was fined $10, and the latter in? formed that he could pro j scute if he desired. Ladson, a black man who was going home after the fire of Sunday morning with a shoulder of ba? con, and who noon being arrested by a policeman, knocked down the said officer of the law, with a loaded club, was fined $5. Andrew Williams a colored fireman, who got "intoxicated,"at the fire, and then wanted to changes his business and go to fighting, was fined $2. ' Jim Lawrence, one of . the *' aboriginal, inhabit ante," who had been pretty deep in fire water, and who in the absence of a tomahawk, had seized an axe and cut away at cellar doors and barbers' poles, was fined $5. A drayman, who had indulged in the too com? mon practice of driving rapidly round a corner, was fined $5, and another for driving on tho side walk, paid J3. DISTRICT COUBT-Hon. GEO. W. J. B. COHEN, Esq., for the de? fence. The evidence showed that the .prisoner had been caught in the act of robbing a grocery store, and the Jury returned a verdict of "Guilty of petit larceny." UNITED STATES CTROUTT COURT.-The time of the court yesterday morning was occupied in the United States us. B. L.
