THE PRIMER'S TOIL.
Blow ye B torin y winds of winter.
Drive the chilly, drifting snow.
Closely housed, the busy printer.
Heeds not how the winds may blow.
Click, click, his type go dropping,
Here and there upon his case.
As he stands for hours popping
Every letter in its place.
Heaven send the useful printer
Every comfort mortals need,
For our nights were dull in winter
Had we not the news to read.
Sad would be the world's condition
If .no printer boys were found
Ignorance and superstition,
Sin and suffering would abound.
Yea, it ia the busy printer
Rolls the car of knowledge on,
ATIri & gloomy mental winter
Soon would reign if he were gone.
Money's useful, yet in winter
Fills hot half so high a place
As the busy, toiling printer
Fingering type before the case.
Yet while type they're busy setting,
Oft some thankless popinjay
Leaves the country, kindly letting
? Printers whistle for their pay.
Ohl ingratitude ungracious I
Are there unenlightened souls ?
Men with minds so incapacious
As to slight the printer's tods ?
See him! how extremely busy,
Fingering type before the case.
Toiling till he's almost dizzy,
TO exalt the human race.
OFFICIAL.

Among the chlof points of excellence of the Ohloker.
lng Pianos, of which spook tho ronowaed artists in their
congratulatory testimonials to the Messrs. Ohlckeriug,
are thu groutebt possible depth, richness Bud volume of
tone, combined with a raro brilliancy, clearness and
perfect evenness throughout tho entire scale; and,
above all, a surprising duration of sound, the pure and
symuathetlo quality of which never changes under the
most delicate or powerful touch.

OOTTSCHALK.
I consider Chickering ft Sons' Pianos superior to any
In the worid.
They aro unrivalled for their singing qualities and for
the harmonious roundness of their tone. There is a
perfect homogeneity throughout all the registers. The
upper notes are remarkable for a clearness and purity
which I do not find lu any other Instrument, while the
bas?is distinguished for power without harshness, and
for a magnificent sonority.
WEiiLI,
Your Pianos are baporlor to any I have ever seen in
thiB country or in Enrope.
I have never heard a tono no perfect; it jlelds every

capable of chauge to meet every sentiment. xhls is a
rare power, ano lb derived from the perfect purity ot
Ita tone, togoiber with its sympathetic, elastic and well

During the p&Bt eight j ears I havo constantly played
upon thu justly celebrated Erard Pumos ; yours are the

It may be satisfactory to our patrons and friend*
