Our last weekly review closed on a duh market, with
limited transactions on the basis of 28c for Middhng,
remarking at the time?that these quotations were only
non ?nal On Saturday but little change was noted from
the day previous, and the transactions wore confined to
only a few bales at 28a28?c for MiddBdg. On Monday
the same duBhees existed, with but little disposition on
the part of either party to operate, and prices remained
about the same as on the day previous, with but few
sales. Tuesday was exceedingly dull but few buyers
enh-Ting the ' market-holders demanding 28c for
Middhng, which -buyers were not disposed to pay,
and hut few bales were cold. Wednesday the mar?
ket "opened with an improved demand at the prices
current on the previous der. but li old ore were* not dis?
posed to offer their stocks, ueing inclined to hold off for
higher prices, and the sales were in consequence light,
and. only a few bales changed hands at the previous day's
lees. On Thursday there wau a better demand, and
I era were more disposed to meet the views of holders,

to be considerable inquiry this morning, but thus far
the novement has resulted in no sales of moment, as
both buyers and seBers seem to bo awaiting the noon
dispatches. The offerings are fair, and most factors are
willing to seB, but the majority of buyers seem reluctant
to operate unless at concessions, to which the former

Western and State flour opened quite active and 10a2Oc
per bbl better on all grades, bnt the demand soon abated
and the market closes flat at the advance.
The sales are 7800 bois at $C90al0 20 for superfine
State; $10 35al2 CO for extra State; $9 95all 25 for the low
grades of spring wheat Western extra; $10 85all 90 for
shipping Ohio; $12 85al3 60 for trade and family brands
of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, and.$128001690 for St

California flour is more- -e and is better. Bales of

Canadian flour is active and better. Sales of 2360 bois

GRAIN-The wheat makct less activo but prices are

mechanical drawing, and all the ordinary uses of a lead
pencil.
These pencils are very finely graded and have a very
smooth lead; even the softest pencils hold the point well;
they are all that can be desired in a pencil. It gives me
great pleasure to be able to assure Americans that they
will no longer be compelled to depend upon Germany or
any other foreign market for pencils.
