Inthe case of SAKPOKD COKOVEE, on Saturday, Judge WILIE delivered the unanimous d?cision of the Court ?T? bunco upon the motions which were argued on the 2d instant, and which were pub? lished in THB NEWS oiyssierday. The motion in *rrest of judgment was overruled, as was also the motion for a new trial. The Judge remarked that the Court were of opinion there waa very little ^ground for the motions at all upon any point ex? cept that relating to the identity of the affidavits as Jiaving been taken before Judge HOLT. The Fenians have capwnnd and hold the po? lice station at Kitte'ei, in'the County Kildare. The important jnonntain range of the Gattees, in Muns? ter, is said to be full of Fenians, and ari' attack on the town of Tipperary, Capital Of the County, was looked for. The inhabitants of the town are said io be completely disaffected to the Government, leinster Province and the County of Kerry are again tranquil, but small bodies of Fenians patrol the Counties of Cork, Waterford, Limerick and Tipperary, and rob what they require. Hut let us remember that this very institution of slavery was not our choico-that it was established without' our consent, and supported and fostered by our Northern Mends for the profits which tho slave trade gave them! ' If the problem was.'nbw tb es? tablished slavery instead of to abolish, it would., look equally difficult in advance. But we found it, and we dealt with it. What wo made of it the world sees now; and if to-day four millionB cf slaves have, without violence,; been converted into: free men, it ia because: their long discipline I had taught them ' industry; obedience to law, and the elemente of christian truth. Much as we owe to their years of labor, both .they and the United States owe lt to us this day that their emancipation has boon -effected - without ruin and bloodshed. Slavery was forced upon us,-and ss we'used it the resnlt was prosperity to the country, wealth and power to the master, and a steady 'elevation of character to the slave: NOw, if tho North forces upon us emancipation and suffrage, we are of the same blood ns bur fathers, and where they left off we' c^'begi?.
