t ord (N. II.) Domocrat says that tho crop of applos

Hampshire this year was very good, and the apples
commanded a good prico. Tho Boston merchants
had agents scouring all they could find. The Bos
ton agents purchased tho larger portion r. iscd in
Rockland and H trafford counties. Thoy paid flvo '
dollars per barrol for first quality and two dollars
and a half for tho second quality, and paid their
billa promptly on tho delivery of tho applos. Cider
apples wore bought in this ideality at first for forty
ronls per bushel ; fifty cents waa afterwards paid, i
und now thoy command sixty cents por bushof.
