NEW ORLEAN8, Novombor 7.-COTTON.-The market
opened this morning with a moderato inquiry, and con
tinued rather inanimate from the opening to tho closa of
business. Tho majority of holders wero evidently anxious
to realizo, and generally disponed to submit to conces
sions, but most huyera woro reluctant to operate, pre
ferring to await further developments, and the sales wero
consequently restricted to '?100 bale?, nine brokers par
ticipating lu tbo business. Prices disclosed no quotable
variation, and although good staple descriptions coin
inaudod outside figures, still the bulk of today's trans
actions wore at rates indicating a strong tendency to in
side quotations. Reforrlng to the above remarks, wo re
peat as follows: Ordinary, 30a31o; (lood Ordinary, 33)ia
?M l,c : Low Middling, 35>?o36)?c; and Middling nominal
at 38c.

The clearances aro exclusively for Boston.
SUUAR AND MOLASSES.-The receipts of tho now crop
are yet very ?mall, but they aro incroasing gradually
and comprise, sinco yesterday, 113 hhds Hiwur, 198 bbls>
and 37 half obis Molasses, mostly from the Upper Coast.
Tho Sugar consists mostly of clarified. Tho demand for
Sugar is very good, but is only local, tho supplies being
too a . all, as yet, for uyors on shipment to operate.
Oood Mc losses is very much In request, but common is
neglected. The . aloa to-day comprised G2 hhds Sugar,
of which 45 yellow centrifugal, in two lota, on private
terms, a'.d 17 hhds do, also two lots, at 15c per pound for
Bi'coin'n, ami 10 _c for yellow clarified. Of Molasses, 79
bbls were sold, in four lots, at 92>?a95c per gallon for
good, and 31 for choleo, and 30 half bbls choice at $1 per
gallon. We quote common Molasses at 85c per gallon, and
have heard of soma small sales of Sugar and Molasses,
particulars of which have not yot transpired. Tho prices
paid yesterday for Husar wore 15J.?C ^ lb for fully fair to
prime, old process, and 10, 16V and 10>?c ^1 lb for yel
low clarified. For Molasses, 85c 31 gallon for common,
and ti for choice. TI io stock on hand of Cuba Sugar and
Molasses is very small, but is neglected, the preference
being for the home product There aro few or nono of
the qualities of Sugar on hand desirable for grocers'
trade, which are tho grades most in request Noa 12 and
13 arc retailing at 13al3)?c "& lb. Cuba Molasses is re
tailing at 65c f) gallon, and is quoted by tho cargo at 60c.
There is some little Molasses in the market from some of
the other West India Islands, received here from New
York, which is commanding 70c ?1 gallon.
FREIGHTS.-The rates aro now 1 cent ^ lb for cotton
and 00 conts ^ bbl for flour, by steam, for New York,
and \y, cento f* lb for cotton for Boston. Sall for New
York, ?4' cent "$ lb for cotton, 75 cents $ bbl for flour.
Sall for Boston, 1_ cent ft lb for cotton, and 75 conto "\\
bbl for flour. Philadelphia and Providence, 1 cent 9 lb
for colton. Sail for Liverpool, ??a9-16d "% lb Ibrootton;
for Havre, 1 % cento. Tho offerings,' especially by steam,
for the North aro quite brisk; HO are they by sail for
Havre, but for Liverpool they aro small. Tho steamer
which laid on hor berth for Liverpool yestorday has ob
tained Id '\\ lb for cotton. A ship was token for Havre
at m cents ft lb for cotton; a vessel waa taken for Phila
delphia at 1 cant, and a vessel was laid on for Boston at
the current rates.

BALTIMORE, Novembor 10.-COFFEE-Market quiet,
with prices a abade easier.
COTTON-There is a light demand, and holders aro
willing to make concessions on last quotations to effect
sales.
FLOUR-The demand is confined to the supply of the
trade, with lower grades of Extra offering 25 conto per
bbl lower, but without sales we do not chango our quo

again very light, und met a very dull market Receipts
of wheat were 100 bushels white and 3175 bushols rod,
the only sale roported being 521 bushols prime red at
$3 20. Ol' cora receipts were 2700 bushols white and
1900 bushels yellow; ?ales of whito woro 900 bushels new
and damp at $lal 02; 1000 do at $1 lOal 15, 1000 old at
?1 I5al 20, with 160 bushels mixed at $112; of yellow
1800 bushols Inferior old sold at $112. Recoleto of oats
were 2827 bushels, with sales of 3000 bushels at ClaG2
cento, weight; bulk at tho lower figure. Of Rye, 902
bushels offered, without sales.
MOLASSFS quiet, without change in quotations.
PROVISIONS-Mess pork has declined, and is now
quoted at 532 fl bbl for now mons; no old in tho inOTket
Bacon continues in active jobbing demand, without
change in price. Bulk meats are not in tho markot Lard
is quiet but firm at 10 conto for Western in tierces. Hams
aro scareo and quoted at 22,'?'a23 cento for plain, and 25
a2G>3 conto for sugar-cured canvas.
SALT.-Livorpool Ground Alum Is scarce and quoted
at an odvaucc-$2 25a2 30 per sack. Liverpool Fine is
unchanged, $3 10a3 25. Turk's Island baa improved;
sales aro quoted at BBafiOo fl bushel from Btoro.
SEEDS.-Clover is scareo and in demand ; we quote at
