Tuoro are no new features to notice in tho market for
Provisions. Western Packed Hog Product* havo had a
downward tendency, the wants of the trade being near
ly supplied by the local Ice-packing, which 1b preferred.
Upon this business, price? of Live Hogs have been well
supported. Beef has been without essential change,
and Butter scarce and firm. The export of Cheese last
wtek amounted to about one and tbree-qnarter million
pounds; but the intense beat has interfered with trans
actions latterly.
Correa?The demand bas been very aotlvo the past
week, tho sales ?mounting to about 33,000 bags Rio, be
sides moderate quantities of other descriptions, and
quotations aro slightly Improved, as fo'lows : Bio,
14%o to 10c; Java, 34a to 35c; Lsguayra and Maracalbc,
17c to 19c; St. Domingo. I0%o to 17c, all gold. The
aalea to-day comprised 7500 bags Rio, per steamer
Havana, on private terms.
