ket advanced and closed at 160 to 163. Small lots have

NEW ORLEANS, June 26. -COTTON.-We have again
to notice a vory quiet market. The favorable accounts
bora Liverpool, and the buoyancy they imparted to the
Now York market, failed to atlmulato the demand, al
though thero was rather more inquiry than yesterday.
Prices, however, showed no improvement, and tho
Billen, whlcb wore confined to 700bales, were at about the
range of the following quotations : Ordinary 27 to 29c,
good ordinary 31 to 32o, low middling 35 to 36c, middling
38 to 39c At the name time even running lista, of good
staple, could hardly bo bought at less than 33c for strict
good ordinary, and 37c for strict low middling. The
sales of the past three days sum up 2000 bales, almost
exclusively for the North. The receipts proper since
Friday evening (exclusive of the arrivals from Mobile,
Florida and Texas, wbicb are Included In their respective
statements), embrace 1960 bales, against 2296 during tho
corresponding period last week, showing a decrease of
-336 bales. Tbe exports embrace 6356 bales, 901 of which
woro to foreign ports, and 4465 coastwise.

SUGAR A> D MOLABUES.-There have leen roo ipts
from the coaBt since yesterday of 84 hhdp sugar and 10
bbls molasses. There is very little Louisiana eugar or
molasses on hand, but the market is well supplied with
-the production of Cuba. The demand is vory limited,
however, and the BAles to-day ware confine! to 16 boxes
white Cuba sugar, No 20, at l7>?c, and 62 hhds prime
Cuba at l3>?o per lb. There were no tales of molasses.
The last were nts 66o per gallon for small lots of Cuba.
Louisiana sugar Is retailing at 13 to 14o for common to
fair; HJf to 16o for fully lair; 16>?'o for piime ; 16c for
yellow clarified, and 10,Ki to 10,'fc for white. Cuba su
gar is retailing a tis to ia>i c per lb for No 12; Ho for
No 14, and 14},' to 16c for No 16.
Memphis Market.
MEMPHIS, June 28.-COTTON.-The dullness noticed

form a basis of the markot. The only sales reported
during the day wero 13 bales 8hy Middling at 33o, and

stances, quotations must be regarded as nominal.
Holders are firm, and asking from one to two couts
above the market price, while buyers aro reluctant to
make concessions. The Moravian's news has bad no
effect upon the market as jet. Tho New York opening
dispatch report, d the Cotton market dull and nominal
at37 to 3. c; at 12 M. it was nominally unchanged. Wo

400 bbls Extra at $8 65 to $14 per bbl. Rye Flour con
tinues quiet, including f uperflne at $6 50 to $7 60 per
bbl. Corn Meal l8 in moderate demand at $4 90 to $5
for Western, $5 to $5 10 for Jersey, $5 25 for Marsh's
Caloric, and $5 40 for Brandywlne, per Dbl. Sales 850

GRAIN-Wheat baB been In limited anpply and demand
at irregular prices. Salt s wero made of 11,600 bu hela,
including good No. 1 Ohlcago spring at $2 20, and prime
white Kentucky on private terms. Corn opened doll
and heavy, and closed decldcd'y lower, under more
liberal arrivals, part of which only entered into the re
port of receipts, as posted on tho bulletin of the Pro
duce Exchange. Only seven or eight boats had reached
the city in seaton to be included in tho regular state
ment of the receipts. Quite a large number got to the
rendezvous on the Eaat Blver Immediately before or
after the close of regular 'Change hours. These are the
first heavy arrivals alnoe the canal repairs wore com
pleted. It practically remains to be seen what effect
they will have on values. A cons'derable portion of the
corn now, or close at hand, had bv.n sold for future de
livery, obiefly to shippers.
Bales have been reported since oar last of 94,000
bushels at 66 to 87c for unsonnd, and 88o to 90o, closing
at 88c for Houud new mixed Western here; and 88%o to
89o for do, deliverable within a week, and 95c to 96c for
choice Western Tetlow, per bushel. New Oats have
been In moderate demand, opening steadily and closing
In favor of boyera. We quote new Western at 54o to
68o, closing at 64o to 66o per bushel. Nothing new In
Barley, or Barley Matt. Bye )? quiet; 6100 bushels
