We had, yesterday, the pleasure also of a visit
from another friend and agent, Mr. J. T. HEESE-j <
VAN, of the Camden Journal; and in an agreeable '

would arrive very shortly, and that by the IC th of,
the month he expects to enlarge hid sheet, and to
make it one of the live papers of the State. He:
certainly has our best wished for his entire sue- \
cess. Both these papers are worthy the patronago j
of the business men of our city. j
THE CAROLINA SPAKIA*.-Among the many ahj|fe
and widely circulated journals published inf the
State before the war, none stood higher als a
weekly than the Carolina Spartan, published at
Spartanburg Court House. Under tho able rpan

State, and it was a recognized standard among!
the journals of the day. Wo observe it, restored;
