an aversion to patent medicines, from tho "thousand

munity, in a sly way; and tho tendency of which, I
fear, ia to make many a confirmed drunkard. Upon
learning that yours was really a medicinal preparation,
I took it with happy effect. Its action not only upon
the stomach but upon the nervous system, was prompt
