Lucy Irene, infant daughter of Mr.

rheumatism, from which he is suffering

Misses Bessie and Mattie Rogers, of
Euoree, S. C., who have been visiting
their sister, Mrs. Jas. A. Norris, on
Factory Hill, returned home last Sat
urday, and were accompanied by Mrs.
Norris.
Jaue, a daughter of Mr. E. M: Snipes,
died in this city last Thursday, aged
two years. The little one had been
afflicted nearly all its life. The re
mains were interred at Silver Brook
Cemetery.
Mr. John Hembrce, living near Fair
Play, has been seriously and painfully
afflicted in one of his feet for the past
few weeks, which to this time has
baffled the skill of his physician to
render relief.
We are requested to announce that
tho annual cleaning of the cemetery at
Neal's Creek will take place on next
Friday, beginning early in the morn
ing. All those interested will be on.

says: "Prof. J. L. Sherard, of Mof
fattsville, Anderson County, has been

ed the trustees of his acceptance of his
old school in Allendale. Prof. Sherard
has accepted, and comes highly recom

Miss Lulah Nance, thc only (laughter

Ga., who has been quite sick at the
home of her uncle, Judge K. Y. H.
Nance, in this city, for the past three
months, was able, to return homo last
Thursday, in company of her father

has been treating her here for several
weeks past.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Fant have
the sympathies of all their friends in
thc death of their infant son. Dewey
Evans, which occurred at their home
in this city last Sunday. The little one
was bitten on the foot by a spider a few
weeks ago, which produced blood poi
soning and erysipelas. The remains
were interred at Sil ver Brook Cemetery
Monday morning.
Rev. Thomas H. Leitch, of Charles
ton, who has been conducting a meet
ing in a teuton Factory Hill, for the
past two weeks, closed last Sunday
night. Great interest was manifested
throughout the meeting, large congre
