Kilgar Archer, son of Mr. T. A. Ar
cher, twelve years old and a pupil at
the Grmlel School, broke his leg yes
terday during 12 o'clock recess while
I.laying football. He hail secured the

when one of the boys tripped him.
Medical assistance was immediately
sent for and Dr. J. C. Hurria responded
timi took charge. The broken bones
were soon get and the suffering Iud
sent home. The leg was broken be
tween the tinkle and the knee, and we
learn that both bones were broken.
The Newberry Observer of the 7th
inst, says: "Mrs. .LA. Daniels died
ut her linnie in thu city yesterday even
ing at S o'clock. The funeral service
will be conducted ut the house this
afternoon ut 3.30. The sympathies of
the entire community are w it li the be
reaved husband and children in this
sud hour of their afHiction." This an
nouncement will be read willi sorrow
in Anderson, where the deceased spent
the greater portion of her life. .Mrs.
