last wook He is looking quite well, as
though the climate and surroundings

There was ''Children's Day" at the Bap
tist Sunday School here Sunday after
noon. Tho very interesting program
was well carried out, end the exercises
wore both pleasing and Instructive. At
the close of the exercises the Superinten
dent annouueed that a pic nia would be
given to the children of the Sunday
School at Cooley's Bridge on next Friday,
the Pith inst. All necessary committees
bave been appointed and arrangements
made, and there is no reason why a
pleasant day should not bo spent.

tertaining the Saluda Association, which

committee on grounds nud arbor will
make ample provision for hitching and
watering the stock, and the committee on
hospitality has finished its work of as
signing the messengers of the several
Churches to their respective homes. The
list of assignments made is published

us to get a good rain, and how bard il is

had good rains near by, and really it does
seem as If a small area around here was
