MR. EDITOR: All progresivo citizens
of tho city will approve your advocating
the building of a hotel. That it is noedel*
cannot bo doubted hy any ono ; but
where and how is tho money to Le ou
tlined for that purpose? Our Bonni of
Trade is composed of enterprising gentle
men. Could they not put the hall In mo
tion T And would not manv of the Stock
holders in the Anderson Farmers1 nnd
Mechanics' Association, aa the Fair
Grounds arc to bo sold and tho proceeds
divided among the Stockholders, give tho
amount of their stock, or a part thereof,
towards the building of a hotel ?
If we had n commodious hotel in An
derson, it would not only be a conveni
ence very much needed by tho traveling
public, but would bo an Inducement for
many Summer boarders to spend their
Summers here.
Theao suggestions I make with the hone
that some means may he devised to build
