SANFORD'S AlVAliYTICAIi ARITHMETICS,
By S. P. SANFORD, A. M., LL.D., Mercer University, Macon, Qa. Of these Arithme
tics, based on tho only truu test-usc in tho school-room-one of our most skillful Teach
ers, Hon. Hugh S. Thompson, State Superintendent, (at tho time of writing, as now, Prin
cipal of Columbia Malo Academy,) saya : "Sanford's Arithmetics aro superior to any that
I have seen in tho fullness of tho examples, tho clearness and simplicity of tho analyses,
and the accuracy of tho rules and definitions. This opinion is based upon a full and
thorough test, in thc school-room. To those Teachers who may oxamino theso Arithme
tica with reference to introduction, I would especially commend tho treatment of Per
centogo and Profit and Los?. No test books that 1 havo cvor usod aro so satisfactory to
teachers and pupils."
Sanford is now in acceptable use in Anderson County.
Sanford's Arithmetica can bo obtained, for three months from commencement nf iniroduo'
