Tribute of Respect.
At a regular meeting of Flat Rock Grange,
No. 295, held at Flat Rock, the following pre?
amble and resolutions were unanimously adop?
ted:
Whereas, it has pleased the Great Architect
and Master of the universe, in the dispensation
of an aU-wise Providence, to remove by death
our esteemed brother and officer, Martin H.
Smith, who died on Sunday night, the 31st of
January, 1875. Therefore, be it
Resolved, That in the death of our beloved
brother and officer, that our order has lost a
worthy officer and member, society a respected
and useful member, and his family a kind and
affectionate father.
That we tender our heart-felt sympathies to
the bereaved family, not in forms of expression
only, but most sincerely.
That a blank page in our record book be in?
scribed to his memory, and a copy of these res?
olutions be furnished the family of the de?
ceased.
That a copy of these resolutions be furnished
the Anderson Intelligencer and Conservator with
a request to publish.
