Friday morning J left for Louisville,

The natural scenery through tliis
mountain country is very line. My
trip from here on through middle!

wheat. I arrived at 'Louisville at 8

Louisville is a grand city of 158000
inhabitants, beautifully located on
the Ohio river. Saturday 1 paid the
I lev. 1). M. Ramsey a visit at the
Baptist Theological Feininary. Mr
Ramsey gave me a warm reception
and then enquired after his many
friends in Aiken county. He speaks
in wry high terms of Kentucky ami
her people. Mr. Ramsey is supplying
two churches in the State one of
which pays him the snug sum ol $100*
a year, 1 predict for him a bright fu-
111 e in his chosen field of useful I ness.
He is one of Carolina’s noble sons
